Charges

Initial Charges

Establishing your online portfolio management service comprises an initial charge of typically 3.7%-4.2% of your investment depending on the funds selected, which is generally 20-30% cheaper than direct investment in these funds.

Initial charges are taken from new money only. There is no charge for selling a fund.

Subsequent fund switch (purchase) is subject to a charge of 0.2% (i.e. £2 per £1000). This equates to a saving of up to 96% from the traditional methods of changing fund provider.

As there is no financial incentive for Phillip Masters IFA Ltd in switching funds, you can be sure that any advice is based purely on investment considerations. We consider this to be the most ethical way of running a portfolio.

Annual Charges

The Portfolio management system, administration charges, plus the fund managers reduced charge which can vary is typically 1.6% per annum.

By using the Phillip Masters IFA Ltd approach to investment management, you are able to keep up to date with all the changes that occur within your funds. We will advise you regarding economic factors that could affect your funds. We will make regular recommendations for the movement of your investments between funds, subject to economic factors and your personal circumstances.

Members of the Wealth Improvement Programme are charged at 0.1% per month of their portfolio valuation.

For clients who are not members of the Wealth Improvement Programme there is a charge of 1% for each fund switch (purchase).

Collection of Charges

Generally, charges are collected directly from your portfolio, avoiding the need to pay charges from personal income and VAT.

Please note that at no time do we handle client's money. All cheques are made payable to a Financial Institution. We never accept a cheque made out to us (unless a cheque is in settlement of charges or disbursements for which we have sent you an invoice).

For a total review of your portfolio and a report there is a small one off charge which will be rebated against initial charges once you proceed with membership of the Wealth Improvement Programme.
